Films Set Unreal Exspectations

So I’m not usually one to worry over what I haven’t got.
But I’ve just watched ‘Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging’ for about the millionth time and if you don’t know it’s a movie which is about a ordinary teenage girl who throughout a tiny time space goes from having no kissing experience to having three guys chasing after her. One of which is Aaron Taylor-Johnson- look him up and you will gawp, he is so hot.
Anyway, this is just an example of a movie that give me ‘false hope’ and makes plots that would never happen rationally. It annoys me, to say the least, because although I love when the guy gets the girl (or vice versa), it just makes me feel incontent with my life for the next week.
Do you feel this way too? Or is it just an invisibility thing?

So I reeeeeally want this top (from M&S by the way) but it’s £22.50 so I don’t know.

Favorite this if you think it’s worth it!!

New Year Resolutions

So today is New Year’s Eve.
And normally my New Years resolution is to be less of a bitchy moody cow.
That fails within a few days, hence why I thought I should make more rational ones.
So here they are-
1) Spend more time helping my brother, because I want him to be able to have GCSE’s.
2) Do more chores. Which can’t be very hard considering I do basically nothing.
3) Spend no money on myself during January and February and save up some money.
4) Try and decrease my anxiety and become more comfortable around people.
5) Make the most of my family.
6) Work as hard as I can and get and get the best grades I can.
7) Swear less.

Well, I think out of those seven I should be able to keep at least one.

Feel free to leave your resolution in the comments and please like the post as it makes me suuuuper haaaappy.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE. I wish you all the happiness in the world for 2015.

So it’s that time of year again (yay!)
I personally love Christmas movies and here’s my top must-see films for Christmas time-
(In no particular order as I am so indecisive)
1) Love Actually
2) Frozen
3) The Holiday
4) Oh what a wonderful life
5) Arthur Christmas

Review: My Love for Hush, Hush

In response to The Daily Post’s writing prompt: “Ready, Set, Done!.”

So I am definitely not used to doing posts in 10 minutes so this will be a challenge. Very sorry that I haven’t posted in nearly two weeks, I have been very stressed and busy.

Anyway, today I will be reviewing the book series: hush, hush. I have just finished the final book and now I have no idea what to do with myself, so I’m basically reliving the book through this post.

The Hush, Hush book series is by Becca Fitzpatrick and it is a love story about two teenagers who lets just say aren’t exactly human. It is mysterious, tense and very cute in some parts. You will fall in love with Patch. And then wish you had a him for Christmas. The only way I can describe is like a billion times better than twilight.  So if you liked that then you will love this and even if you didn’t you will love it anyway: It is the best series of books I have EVER read. And that is saying something.

So the message of this post is basically to go read the book NOW! Once you read the first chapter come back and thank me!!! (if you can tear yourself away- I finished each book less than 24 hours after I started them!!)

Zombie: Jamie T

By Heart– You’re asked to recite a poem (or song lyrics) from memory — what’s the first one that comes to mind? Does it have a special meaning, or is there another reason it has stayed, intact, in your mind?

If you are into alternative music you have probably already heard it, but if you haven’t then quick go listen to it before I disown you (not actually- I know everyone has different tastes in music.) But here’s the link anyway:

I know pretty much every word to that song, I’m not sure why but the only reason I can think of is that while I was on holiday I listened to the song at least 12 times. And I was on the beach, I love the beach and I think I now connect the song with my love of the beach.

I’m adding this on to this post as I think it’s relevant, here are my favourite songs of the moment-

  1. Zombie- Jamie T

  2. Sweater Weather- The neighbourhood

  3. Strong- London Grammar

  4. Home- American Authors

  5. Tennis Court- Lorde

  6. I write songs not tragedies- Panic at the disco

  7. Thinking Out Loud- Ed Sheeran

Love at First Sight

So I went to Primark (aka my mother base.)

And I bought these amazing shoes:

As I said in the title I love these. I have never ever had a pair of high heels and at 3 inch these are way more than I’m used to. I will be walking like a baby giraffe in them, in my usual very not graceful style.

They were £15 from Primark (bargain!!) and 3 inch although I saw some at about 5 inch in the exactly same style. I literally saw them and decided I had to buy them straight away- hence love at first sight!

As I have repeated too many times, these are absolutely perfect and by the way they will be in the autumn/winter look book I’ll be posting on Sunday!!

Is anyone else addicted to shoes, or just me?

One Lovely Blog Nomination

Thank you for nominating me for the one lovely blog nomination, love her blog!
The Rules
1. You must thank the person who nominated you and include a link to their blog.
2. You must list the rules and display the award.
3. You must add 7 facts about yourself.
4. You must nominate 15 other bloggers and comment on one of their posts to let them know they have been nominated
5. You must display the award logo and follow the blogger who nominated you.
So here are my seven facts
1) I am a shopaholic, however I don’t just like buying things, I can’t throw away the things I have bought until they’re completely ruined, or way too tight, I still have a top I had when I was 9, I’m 15 now.
2) On the inside I am a 6 year old- I don’t mean I’m dumb, because I’m not, well I’m not very clever either, but anyway, I love all things Disney, Hello Kitty and I still love One Direction (don’t judge.)
3) My favourite show ever is Friends- yes, I don’t think I was even born until series 7 came out, but I will sit for hours watching Friends and never get bored. Trying to convince my parents to buy me it for Christmas but no luck yet.
4) I am three eighths English, half Italian and one eighth Irish- so my family is big and very confusing.
5) I have dreams about meeting my favourite YouTubers, a lot- specifically, AmazingPhil, Danisnotonfire, Pointlessblog, Zoella, SprinkleofGlitter, Gabby and the SacconeJolys. They’re the celebrities most people past 20 haven’t heard of.
6) Aspiring to be a fashion journalist / news reporter, any tips?
7) This blogging is making me so happy- The Invisible Girl Blogs has only been up and running for three/four weeks and already I am so happy I started it and I will continue to do it forever!

Leave your blog URL in the comments if you do and I’ll go follow you as I would love to read them!!

Mask Off, Tail On

Mask Off, Tail On

We’re less than a week away from Halloween! If you had to design a costume that channelled your true, innermost self, what would that costume look like? Would you dare to wear it?

So as I’m a very indecisive person and I don’t actually know who I am very well, I thought I’d ask the people who should know me best (my family) to decide a costume that channelled my innermost self.

And of course I got some very amusing responses-

My Brother said- Hulk, Iron man, Thor, Spiderman (even though I’m as about as strong as a mouse)

My Dad said- Witch (Predictable considering I had black and purple makeup all over my face at the time)

Mum- Zombie, A clown- specifically the joker ( which I am TERRIFIED of so I’d look if the mirror and faint if I dressed up as that one)

However, all of these ideas at just a bit too predictable and humiliating so I think a costume that represents my innermost self would be…

A cat.

But not one of those cat costumes that look very cute and girly I mean a proper cat costume- with faux fur, claws etc. so you can actually tell I’m a cat not just a tart in a tiny black dress and 8 inch heels.

And Although, I can’t sing or dance, I have always dreamed of being in the musical Cats so this would coincide with that well and I could pretend I was actually in it for a day- how sad.

Finally, I would totally wear this around (but only on Halloween)and pounce around going miaaaaw every 2 seconds.

What costume represents your inner self?!
